CTiS (Computational Thinking in Schools) conference 2024
Organized by the CSPathshala initiative of ACM India and supported by the ACM Goa Professional Chapter
The CTiS (Computational Thinking in Schools) conference is an annual event organised by the ACM India and the CSpathshala community (https://event.india.acm.org/ctis/home/). It aims to bring together teachers, educators and researchers to discuss issues of curriculum, pedagogy, policy and implementation, related to bringing computational thinking to schools. The 6th CTiS conference will be held at IISER in Pune on 5th and 6th July 2024. In a run up to the national conference this year, we have organized the regional CTiS conferences that culminate in the national conference.
CSpathshala in partnership with ACM Goa Chapter, Goa SCERT and TCS have organized the 1st Goa Regional CTiS2024 conference On 13th June 2024 .

PitchIT! – An All-Goa 3-minute Research Pitch Competition
Jointly Organized by the ACM Goa Professional Chapter and the BITS Pilani K. K. Goa APPCAIR Center
BITS Pilani K. K. Goa played host to PitchIT! a 3-min Research pitch competition, on April 13th, 2024, Co-organized by BITS Goa and ACM Goa Professional Chapter.
The event provided a thrilling and competitive platform for participants to present their computing-related research or projects in just 180 seconds. The event offered a unique opportunity to communicate complex concepts concisely, receive valuable feedback from esteemed panel members, and network with peers, academicians, and industry professionals. The event was sponsored by the Anuradha and Prashanth Palakurthi Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (APPCAIR) at BITS Goa and exciting prizes were sponsored by Delta Technologies, Margao. The inaugural ceremony included an address by Prof. Suman Kundu, Director of BITS Pilani K. K. Birla Goa Campus and a talk by Prof. Santonu Sarkar, HOD, CS &IS. The event was planned and coordinated by Prof. Gargi Alavani, Treasurer ACM Goa Professional Chapter.
